Jerred Ruble was well known in the antique tractor and steam engine hobby. He was instrumental in the Heritage Park of North Iowa and the Steam School associated with that location. He had the knowledge to gather the rare and hard-to-find and his interests were wide and varied. This auction is full of early gas tractors, steam engines, gas engines, impressive scale models, a huge assortment of parts and a fantastic literature and memorabilia collection. This will be a multi-day, multi-location auction with online only bidding.
Jerred and his wife Eileen were customers of our auctions for many, many years. Many of the tractors in Jerred’s collection came from our auctions.
He was a humble guy. Always a quiet collector, never looking for credit or attention. Many of the things that Jerred did for our hobby was under the radar but had big effects.
His involvement in the show at Heritage Park and his support of the steam school there were so important.
Even when it came to his collection, he was always willing to give someone else the platform or the wheel so they could gain some running time. He meant so much to so many in the hobby.
The collection is so wide and so varied it takes six auction catalogs to sell it all! From tractors and steam engines to threshing machines and implements to parts, toys literature and more. Several highlights like the Case 110 hp Steam Engine, the Stanley Steamer Automobile, Little Giant, C.O.D., Avery and Rumely tractors and of course the collection of scale model steam engines and gas tractors.
